Be a better person
I want to take some time here to talk about appearances. It's something we all know, or have at least suspected. How we appear to others DOES affect how we are percieved, and treated, by others in the world. Resent research conducted by the University of Ohio and Oregon State University found that in a retail environment the behavior of salespeople was largely affected by a customer's attractiveness. Salespeople profile customers based on looks: This is something we know intuitively, but a lot of us fail to apply to ourselves.
Ever go people watching? For most people its a fun pastime. Be honest with me, can you believe people go out in public looking like that? Now, I live in Southern California, where a lot of people have a great sense of fashion, especially at work. In a work situation most style decisions are somewhat dictated by the organization and occupation. We all need to act within certain guidelines. Neck tattoos...um...not in accounting. Sexually suggestive attire, unless you are in the sex industry, are not really appropriate.
